Work experience for young people in the allied health professions (AHPs) offer an important opportunity to promote a range of roles and careers, encourage the future workforce, and ensure greater workforce diversity.

Health Education England are therefore developing a quick guide to support AHP work experience across the country. This guide will focus on how to deliver work experience, particularly focusing on how services can offer this to under 16 year olds, including case studies from current practice.

We would therefore like to encourage examples from the North West for inclusion in the guide – for example how organisations are offering work experience as well as engaging with young people of school age, and older where practice can be replicated. Ideally these examples will be around AHP work experience however we are keen to hear examples from other professions where approaches can be learned from.

Please send any examples to Susanna Preedy This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 5pm Friday 24th February. A simple proforma is available to help structure your case study.

This is another brilliant opportunity to share great practice in the region to support wider workforce improvement. Please do share this with colleagues.
