Growth of the AHP workforce and delivery of NHS People Plan priorities will rely on collaborative leadership in systems and across the region and the North West AHP Network has commissioned a short leadership development course to support AHP councils and faculties and other AHPs in workforce leadership roles across the region.

We are excited to be offering up to 40 fully funded places – please see full details and dates.

This is based on the successful programme we ran in 2017/18 and we have worked closely with NHS Employers to support NHS Improvement guidance on developing AHP leaders. The programme has been redesigned to offer this as an online programme during the pandemic; cohort 1 starts on the 22nd September and cohort 2 on the 29th October.

We are offering places to the following AHPs:

  • Primary Care AHP Ambassadors
  • Chairs of AHP Councils
  • Chairs of AHP faculties
  • Chairs of AHP subgroups, task and finish groups and workstreams
  • Members of AHP councils and AHP faculties
  • Members of AHP subgroups, task and finish groups and workstreams
  • Regional and system AHP fellows

We hope that this provides valuable support and recognition of all the amazing work by AHP councils, faculties and leaders across the region over the past year.

If you would like to secure a place on this programme* please can you complete the online application form by 5pm Monday 24th August.

Please share with relevant leads and members in your councils and faculties, and do get in touch with Sonia Davis if you have any queries: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

*You will need to be in one or more of the roles above, able to make all sessions in the cohort, and have the full support of your employer/line manager. We anticipate this programme will be very popular and will use information in the application form to help allocate and confirm places; you will receive confirmation of a place and joining details at the end of August.
